When the Little Didney Animal Rescue Centre is threatened with closure, the fate of the animals rests entirely on a quiz team from the local pub. The Farmhouse Five, the collective leftovers rejected by the other teams.
Can these five quiz team refugees beat 2,000 other teams in a massive quiz chase across the South West of England? The prize is a 1,000 acre estate left in the will of an eccentric millionaire, but the challenge is huge. Not only have the Farmhouse Five never once won their local pub quiz, but now, somebody else isn’t playing fair.
While the Farmhouse Five race against the clock to solve the clues, time is also running out for the animals.
Can a ragtag team of misfits really take on some of the best quiz brains in the country?
Can they manage to keep all of their teammates out of trouble long enough to complete the challenge at all?
And can you solve the enigmatic entry clue?
Ageing Rock God, Jim Sullivan, is heading for the quiet life on his newly acquired, tiny island, off the coast of Cornwall. That is until he sends a letter to the King of England, announcing his intent to declare independence from the UK and appointing himself king.
Determined not to cede one inch of British territory, the UK government despatches low-level Foreign Office researcher, John Cabot, to put a stop to Sullivan’s ambitions.
What they didn’t anticipate was Cabot’s tenacity for unearthing information they’d rather he didn’t, or Sullivan’s relentless, but completely unfounded, optimism in his own ideas.
Armed with nothing more than a guitar and a spreadsheet, can these two stand up to the might of the British Empire?
No contest.

“Another bunch of swarthy characters who strike out on their own against all the odds and eat a lot of pub food. Classic British comedy. It’s Passport to Pimlico without the passports. And not in Pimlico. Luddington does it again. “
Rose Well Holiday Park is on its last legs.
Once a proud jewel of the Great British seaside, it’s now home to a handful of eccentric residents more concerned with alien invasions and zombie survival plans than bingo nights or Crazy Golf. With a ruthless bottled water company circling—determined to seize the park’s legendary spring—and rumours of something far more explosive lurking beneath the surface, things couldn’t get much worse. - Enter William Fox...
Not a natural hero, but the only one available. Armed with boundless optimism and a questionable library of conspiracy theories, William sets out to save the park the only way he knows how: with big ideas, little evidence, and absolute conviction.
What follows is a chaotic, heartwarming battle to revive a fading institution—before it’s sold off, blown up, or abducted.
Because sometimes, saving the day takes more belief than sense.
• Woozle: Noun

"Reading David Luddington is like reading your favourite sitcom.” – Nigel Planer

When ex-SAS soldier, Michael Purdy, comes in front of the judge for hacking the bank account belonging to the Minister for Invalidity Benefits and wiping out his personal wealth, he braces himself for a prison sentence.
What Michael doesn’t expect, is to be put in charge of a group of offenders and sent to a remote location in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Spain to teach them survival skills as part of their rehabilitation programme.
But Michael knows nothing at all about survival skills. He was sort of in the SAS, yes, but his shining record on the “Escape and Evasion” courses was more a testament to his computer skills than his ability to catch wildlife and barbecue it over an impromptu fire.
Basically, he was the SAS’s techy nerd and only achieved that position as a result of a bet with a fellow hacker. Facing a stark choice between starvation or returning home to serve out their sentences, the group of offenders under Michael’s supervision soon realise that the only way to survive is to use their own unique set of skills – the kind of skills that got them arrested in the first place.
Shadeys Bank has a problem—and his name is Tom Goodman.

But Tom hasn’t come to play the part.
Appointed as CEO in what was meant to be a carefully managed PR stunt, he quickly proves to be anything but a figurehead. Determined to bring honesty and accountability to an institution built on anything but, Tom sets out to reform the bank from the inside—whether Shadeys likes it or not.
What follows is a sharply comic clash between integrity and self-interest, as one stubborn vicar takes on a billion-pound machine.
Heaven help them.
Forever England
Retirement wasn’t supposed to look like this.
After a fateful mix of generous Spanish gin measures and an overzealous estate agent, Terry England—recently retired special effects engineer—finds himself the bewildered owner of a half-finished villa on a sun-bleached urbanisation in southern Spain. It’s not exactly the peaceful new chapter he had in mind.
As Terry attempts to settle into his unexpected Mediterranean life, he’s faced with a series of absurd challenges: a local council that can’t quite identify which house is his, relentless leaf blowers that shatter the illusion of tranquillity, and the creeping suspicion that paradise might not be all it’s cracked up to be.
Wry, warm, and sharply observant, this is a story of misplaced dreams, cultural confusion, and one man’s reluctant quest to carve out a place he can finally call home—even if no one else can quite locate it.
Schrodinger's Cottage
Tinker’s Cottage lies hidden in a forgotten corner of deepest Somerset—and perched precariously on a weak spot in the space-time continuum. For Ian Faulkener, a burned-out London graphic novelist seeking peace, it seems the perfect retreat. Until reality begins to slip.
The cats are the first clue. They appear, disappear, and multiply in ways that defy all logic. Then come the stranger occurrences: vanishing handymen, errant literary agents, an inexplicable Pope, and the surreal chaos of Cherie Blair World. As doors within the cottage open onto a labyrinth of alternate realities, Ian finds himself drawn deeper into a quantum conundrum that threatens to strand him between worlds.
In Schrödinger’s Cottage, David Luddington spins a delightfully absurd tale of parallel universes, eccentric characters, and existential mischief. Warm, witty, and gloriously unpredictable, this is a comic adventure that celebrates the spirit of Douglas Adams while carving out a wonderfully peculiar universe all its own.
Charles Tremayne is a spy out of his time.
After a long career spent rescuing prisoners from the KGB or helping defectors across the Berlin Wall the world has changed. The Wall has gone and no longer is there a need for a Russian speaking, ice-cold killer. The bad guys now all speak Arabic and state secrets are transmitted via satellite using blowfish algorithms impenetrable to anybody over the age of twelve.
Counting down the days to his retirement by babysitting drunken visiting politicos, he is seconded by MI6 for one last case. £250,000,000 of government money destined as a payoff for the dictator of a strategic African nation goes missing on its way to a remote Cornish airfield. Tremayne is dispatched to retrieve the money and nothing is going to stand in his way. Armed with an IQ of 165 and a bewildering array of weaponry and gadgets, he is not about to be outmanoeuvred by the inhabitants of a small Cornish fishing village. Or is he?
The Return of The Hippy
A tale of: ‘What if you could have a second chance?’
A tale of hope and new beginnings for all of us who want to scream, “Hang on a minute, can I have another go at that?”
A tale of finding out there is more to this world than racing to the end as quickly as possible.
A tale of possibilities where sometimes trusting that somebody else has a plan for you is the best plan of all.
A tale of finding peace in the unlikeliest of places (and it’s not where Great Guru Mega Yogi thinks it is either.)
A tale of validation for the gentle soul and a home for the wandering one.
A tale of finding out that friends are not just a button on Facebook or a scorecard and that the world can not be summed up in a hundred and forty characters or less.
A tale one man’s journey to rediscover the path he was supposed to take… before it’s too late.

I am often asked for follow-on books as many readers seem to like my characters and want to know more about them. I played with writing follow-ons but that would have meant disturbing the peace that my characters tend to find at the end of their stories, so instead, I looked at prequels. Stealing from, I meant, taking inspiration from, the brilliant handling of the Batman origin story, Gotham, I set about looking at short prequels. I thought it might be interesting to see how my characters ended up in their predicaments in the first place. Then, not content with that idea, I thought about creating a separate story in which to hold these prequels. The result of this convoluted flight from reality is a short story entitled, The Storyman which contains prequels for three of my characters.
